EXCELLENT Based on 196 reviews Mylène Dufour2 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Ecuador. My friend and I had planned to stay there for 1 week, but ended up spending 2 weeks instead. The location in perfect, right in front of the surf break, and only 10-15 min away from downtown. Quiet, but not too far from the nightlife. The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff wonderful. We'll be back :) Catherine Boucher2 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great place to stay with VERY accomodating staff !! Lovely place ! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Catherine D'avril2 October 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really easy to get there by bus, the staff is absolutely fantastic and helpful! We we’re in a female dorm and it was perfect. The breakfast is different every day on the week and is delicious! The location is also perfect and super safe (5 minutes walk from downtown) and away from the big and noisy party vibe. The beach break is right in front and they have amazing yoga classes every day. Serdecznie polecam dla odpoczynku, jogi, nauki surfingu, spacerów i życia noclego. Luke Dowling31 July 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really lovely hostel, Jackson was v helpful in organising whale watching for us! James Pentalow12 July 2024Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been to hundreds of hostels over the years, and Casa Del Sol may be one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to visit (I planned to stay 6 nights, stayed 8, almost extended, and definitely will be back) TDLR: STAY AT THIS HOSTEL First the staff- Jackson- the bedrock of the hostel, couldn't have been more friendly/helpful with booking everything/translating when needed et cetera. Tom- Always brought great vibes and tunes. Rudy-The friendliest little brother you always wish you had. The rooms: All range from 15-45 USD a night, beds were more comfier than most 100+/night hotels i've stayed in. Wifi was great(I was working while there and had no major problem) in Casa Shakra, but hit or miss in some of the common areas. Safety+Location Tucked away a 15 min walk from the town of Montanita there's almost nothing to worry about, a brewery is directly across the street and a few food options. Safety in Ecuador: Dispite some of the news and travel advisories the coast felt safer than it felt 8 years ago. The army has a heavy presence to ensure tourism starts to return which is a bit eerie to see but as a result incredibly safe even for petty crime. Much safer than recent visits to Mexico or Colombia. Locals are happy you are there and genuinely want to tell you about their lives and ask about yours. (Great place to practice Spanish, if not fluent) Montanita is one of the most special places I've encountered on my travels, it's a bit slow at the moment but enjoy the quiet, make some friends, catch a wave and a buzz on the beach. You may never leave.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
